Gadgets, unlike widgets, do not require any additional software to run, they're stand-alone programs but with all the advantages of widgets. The most popular way to create gadgets currently is with DesktopX Pro.
Arrow Player is a media player controller gadget. It works best when used to control Windows Media Player or Winamp, but it also works with iTunes and Coolplayer.
